This is a Level 1 (Long Course) meet with lower qualifying times (swimmers must have swum faster).

Annual Presentation Evening

A reminder that the annual club presentation evening takes place this Friday (5th January) at Elmfield Social Club, Hebburn. Any swimmers who participated in the main pool events at the Christmas gala will be presented with their medals/awards.

2023 Annual Club Gala

We are hosting our Annual Club Championships on Sunday December 3^rd 2023

This gala is all about having fun through competition; all swimmers in the club, regardless of age, ranking or ability, are encouraged to take part. The cost for all entries has been maintained at the reduced levels from last year and there will be no charge for spectator entry.

This gala is held at Haven Point in South Shields and will be split into two separate events; the Small Pool 5m and 10m events and the Main Pool Age group events which form our annual club championships.

This year we are also offering swimmers the opportunity to participate in a fun team relay (cannon) at the end of the gala.

Closing date for entries will be Friday the 1^st December:

The event cannot take place without the help of volunteers - if you are interested in contributing on the day, please speak to any member of the committee or any coach.

Our 2023 Annual General Meeting will take place at Hebburn Central on Wednesday November 1st following the Swimmer of the month presentation.

Please come along and show your support for the club and those who volunteer behind the scenes.

We are currently looking to fill several places on the club committee. If anyone wants to know more about what this would involve or would like to stand as a committee member, please express an interest via the Contact Us page on the website or speak to any club coach or any of our current committee members.

Junior League 2023 - Team Selection

There will be a junior league selection next week for all squad swimmers age 9 by the 26th of November and 12 and under by the 31st of December.

The session will be at Boldon 4.30-6.30pm. Any swimmers who usually train at Boldon on a Thursday and are not of junior league age, please attend Jarrow 6.45-8.15pm

Passing of former chairman Alan Captstick

It is with great sadness that the club marks the passing of our much loved former Chairman.

Junior League 2023 - Team Selection

Well done to the Junior League team for the first round on the 30^th of April at Tynemouth Pool. Please meet at 2.15pm for a 3pm start wearing club kit. No electronics on poolside please.

Wednesday - Learn to Swim and SOTM

The small pool at Heburn is undergoing maintenance this Mon-Wed week

There will therefore be no Learn to Swim this Wednesday 1^st March and Swimmer of the month will take place on Wednesday 8^th March following a skills session for all squads at Haven Point.

C squad will still train in the big pool however this will now run earlier from 19:00-20:30

The skills session will run as follows:

A/P, B & C squads 17:30-19:15

D Squad 9 and over 17:30-19:15

D Squad 8 and under 18:15-19:15

Swimmer of the month from approx. 19:45 at Hebburn

Presentation Evening - Amended Timings

Please note that doors will open for the presentation evening at 6:30pm, and not 6:00pm as stated on the tickets. This is to allow us time to setup. We kindly request that everyone planning on attending aims to arrive between 6:30pm and 7:00pm and we will aim to start presenting awards from 7pm onwards.

Annual membership fees are due by 31st January, and remain the same as 2022 fees

Learn to Swim

All learn to swim swimmers need to pay the non-competitive fee of £40

Squad Swimmers

All swimmers who are over 9yrs by 31/12/2023 need to pay competitive fee’s which is £55.

All swimmers under 9yrs need to pay non competitive fee’s which is £40.

Please ensure all fee’s are paid in full by 31st January 2023 as swimmers won’t be insured to swim
