Important Information

We have been asked to convey the relevant information to parents and request that they understand the importance of keeping to the guideline timings.

The Event is being run under the present Covid restrictions in particular the wearing of Face Masks and the Pool Hall capacity (200 Swimmers and Staff). When inside the Pool Hall Face Coverings MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES except when competing.

The priority has been to have no Rejections from those entered. To achieve this it has been necessary to change the Schedule of Events and split each Session into 2 Mini Sessions.

In the 1st 4 Events in each Session we have identified a number of Swimmers who are only entered in one Event in that Session.  We expect them to leave the Pool Hall after their swim. This enables us to keep within the capacity limit for the remaining Events.

ALL CLUBS WILL ALSO NEED TO ENSURE THAT THEIR STAFF AND SWIMMERS COMPLETE A RETURN TO COMPETITION QUESTIONNAIRE AHEAD OF THE EVENT, WHERE POSSIBLE HAVE RECEIVED THE Covid19 VACCINE AND HAVE HAD TWO NEGATIVE LATERAL FLOW TESTS IN THE WEEK BEFORE THE COMPETITION.

FURTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • We request that swimmers arriving and departing the Event are dropped off and collected from the Football Club car park. It is important to keep the road parallel to the pool clear of traffic as swimmers will be entering via the diving pool end of the building.
  • Swimmers should be encouraged NOT to bring large swim bags into the Facility. They should have Face Masks which must be worn when not competing. (This is the period between going to the designated ‘call room’ and returning to their seating area after their swim) A personal sanitiser is also advised or perhaps one available via the Club. There will be facility sanitisers also available.
  • Swimmers and Team Staff will be checked into the Facility via the Fire Door located at the Diving Pool end of the building,. They should not enter via the Main Entrance. They should as far as possible enter swim ready and are advised to have ‘plastic bags’ to keep their clothes in. Clubs will have a dedicated seating area, swimmers are requested to keep to their area when not swimming. The seating area plan will be shared with Coaches.
  •  We recognize that some swimmers are entered in more than one Event in a Session and do require a change of costume. The Changing Rooms are open and swimmers should note that only one person is permitted in a cubicle at a time.
  • There is no Swim-down available. Showers are available but the hair dryers will be switched off.
  • During the Warm-up a limit of 10 swimmers per lane is required. Team Staff are requested to keep their swimmers to this limit. The Warm-up will be split Men/ Women in line with the Session Event order.
  • Only Swimmers competing in the 1st four events should arrive for the start of the Session Warm-up. Those who are only swimming in these Events in a session are requested to vacate the building after their swim. Exit is through the Changing Rooms and out through the Main Exit at the front of the Building. Swimmers entered in the remaining Events in a Session are requested not to arrive earlier than the guide line time for that Session This is to facilitate the limited numbers in the Facility at any one time.
  •  During the Event a one way system will operate in a CLOCKWISE DIRECTION. We recognize that this may cause some inconvenience but is there to minimise potential crossover when swimmers are proceeding to the start and returning to their seating after their Event.
  • It is expected that the Event will be Live Streamed via You Tube.

Any withdrawals need be notified to the event managers by 20:00hrs on Thursday 22nd July via Individual Club Officals.
