A Squad
Welcome to the A Squad section. The A Squad train 6 days during a normal week, at Boldon Comprehensive School, Haven Point, Hebburn Central and Jarrow Pool in the evenings and at Hebburn Central and Haven Point for morning sessions. For further squad details see below.

Squad News

There will be a junior league selection next week for all squad swimmers age 9 by the 26th of November and 12 and under by the 31st of December.
The session will be at Boldon 4.30-6.30pm. Any swimmers who usually train at Boldon on a Thursday and are not of junior league age, please attend Jarrow 6.45-8.15pm

Minimum Attendance Commitment
There are up to 7 swimming sessions available for this squad. Average % attendance must be maintained at above 80%. There will also be a compulsory land training programme which all members of this squad must attend. These set attendance levels must be adhered to. Morning training sessions are not optional. Swimmers are required to swim at a minimum of 4 competitive galas per season.
Aims
Work towards achieving goals set for the season
Develop a high level of technical ability in all four strokes
Build an aerobic base and introduce anaerobic energy system training
Develop time management skills
Work towards performing at County, Regional and National competitions

Injuries need written info from physiotherapist – nature of the injury, possible cause, length of recovery time, limitations whilst in recovery, any exercises given for cure/prevention of recurrence.
